How to Make a Cake (Part 5)

VICTORIA SANDWICH CAKE

Recipe

Add to Basic Recipe in Part 4
a.
1 teaspoon – vanilla essence
b. 2 table spoon – jams (to be used after baking)
c. 50g – Sugar

Procedure

1. Line two greased sandwich tins with a greased paper.
2. Prepare the mixture by creaming method
3. Bake at 190 degrees C, for approx. 30 – 45 minutes
4. Turn out and cool on rack or tray
5. Spread jams on one round and place the other cake on top
6. Sprinkle with sugar

Note: Butter icing may be used instead of jams.
