…GO TO PREVIOUS SCENE            …GO TO TITLE PAGE

{EXT. EAST-WEST ROAD, LAGOS – DAY}

Seven trucks filled with armed men and women; dressed in black clothes with the Brama logo, are speeding towards Ikeja city of Lagos.

SALIM
(to an armed man beside him)
Have no mercy.
(stands and speaks loudly)
Have no mercy! We are taking over Lagos by force!

{EXT. SAHARA DESERT}

Leela flies and lands; carrying a wooden bench on which Major Evans and Captain Obong are sitting.

MAJOR EVANS
(steps down)
Nice ride!

CAPTAIN OBONG
(holding a newspaper)
Scary, though.

LEELA
Someone just saw us but we’ll be identified as Unknown Flying Object (UFO)

MAJOR EVANS
Great!

LEELA
(to Captain Obong)
Afraid of heights, huh?

CAPTAIN OBONG
Not really.

MAJOR EVANS
Story for the gods!

CAPTAIN OBONG
Hahaha!

MAJOR EVANS
All right, let’s do what we came for.
(presses a remote-device and a hole; having sloppy steps, opens in the ground)
This is our military fortified scientific intelligence base.
(walks into the ground through the steps)
Come on.

{INT. MILITARY FORTIFIED SCIENTIFIC INTELLIGENCE BASE, UNDERGROUND}

Major Evans, Captain Obong and Leela are standing before a grey-superheroic suit in an upright glass suitcase.

MAJOR EVANS
Over to you, Captain.

CAPTAIN OBONG
(smiles and keeps the newspaper in his hand on a table)
This place was built by the Nigerian Government through the help of the United States Engineers. However, this place was abandoned for a while but we got it renewed for you, Leela. If you look to the right, you’ll see nine monitor screens. They are connected to the nation’s security satellite and database . So, you can stay here and access, hack and do whatever without been traced as well. If any threat is coming to the country, the person here will be the first to know.

MAJOR EVANS
And the suit?

CAPTAIN OBONG
An Israeli designed that.
(to Leela)
Leela, this is your ghost-hero suit.

LEELA
I love the attire.

MAJOR EVANS
What’s with the letter ‘I’ on the chest of the suit?

CAPTAIN OBONG
Leela is from Ogoni but if we really want him to be a complete undetectable ghost, we’ll need something strange from his culture. The letter ‘I’ stands for Ighayo. And, that’s why he’ll be wearing
(points a yellow bird face-like mask)
that mask.

MAJOR EVANS
That’s good, but what does the name mean?

CAPTAIN OBONG
It really doesn’t mean anything. However, I coined it from the first two letters of the words “Igbo, Hausa and Yoruba”.

MAJOR EVANS
Ighayo!

LEELA
(smiles)
Yes, sir!

MAJOR EVANS
I was just trying to call it right.
(to Captain Obong)
I got it, right?
(Leela smiles)

CAPTAIN OBONG
(giggles)
Of course, yeah!

MAJOR EVANS
(to Leela)
Try it on, son.

LEELA
All right.

MAJOR EVANS
(gives the remote device of the entire building to Leela)
This is yours now.

LEELA
Thanks, I really appreciate!

MAJOR EVANS
I hereby declare this place, Ighayo’s home!

CAPTAIN OBONG
Hahaha!

LEELA
Wow! I never thought I’ll be lifted from grass to grace some day and here I am!

MAJOR EVANS
Hahaha
(taps on Leela’s shoulder)
Go change up, son.

LATER

Leela is dressed in his ghost-hero suit and wears his mask.

MAJOR EVANS
This looks like fiction.

CAPTAIN OBONG
The hero to Nigeria, Africa and the entire world.

LEELA
(walks to the table where the newspaper is, opens it and points at a headline)
This will be my first mission in this suit.
(presses the remote-device and the door opens)
I’ll be back.
(flies away in the speed of light)

Captain Obong and Major Evans hurry to the table where the newspaper is.

CAPTAIN OBONG
(reads the headline on the newspaper)
NASA discloses a potentially hazardous object that is about 2.5 kilometres in diameter heading towards earth’s path.

MAJOR EVANS
What?

CAPTAIN OBONG
He’s amazing.

MAJOR EVANS
He should leave that for the United States.

CAPTAIN OBONG
Give him time to study his potentials.
(phone rings)
I see him as a hero for all.
(answers the phone call)
Hello?

MALE VOICE (V.O)
(over the telephone)
Sir, we’re under attack!

{EXT. NIGERIAN ARMY MILITARY CANTONMENT, LAGOS}

There is heavy gunfire from the Brama terrorist groups upon the Nigerian Soldiers.

The Nigerian soldiers shoot all the available ammunition, which they lay hands on against the Brama terrorists; the bullets hit them and cause no harm due to the necklace having the skull of a snake on them.

NIGERIAN SOLDIER
They’re not dying!

{INT.  MILITARY COMMAND CENTRE, NIGERIAN ARMY RESOURCE CENTRE, ABUJA}

MAJOR GENERAL MUSTAPHA is looking at the war scene through the satellite and webcams on the monitor screens.
There are EIGHT SOLDIERS on computers before computer monitors.

SOLDIER TWO
Sir, these terrorists are immune to our weapons.

MAJOR GENERAL MUSTAPHA
All units fall back to the defence zone.
(picks up a phone, dials a number and speaks aggressively into the telephone)
Where the fuck is your superhero, Major?

{IGHAYO’S HOME, SAHARA DESERT}

Major Evans and Captain Obong are viewing the war zone on monitor screens.

MAJOR EVANS
(into the telephone)
He’s on his way, Sir.
(quits the phone call)

CAPTAIN OBONG
Is this a dream?

MAJOR EVANS
(yells)
Ighayo!!

{EXT. SPACE – DAY}

Ighayo is pushing a large asteroid away from the path of the earth.

IGHAYO
I can’t believe that I’m breathing in space! Hahaha…
(suddenly, wings pop out of his back, his mask disappears, leaving his face exposed and his costume changes to pure white ancient war attire)
Ooh! What’s happening this time?
(looks at his body)
A white garment?
(his right hand glows and a flaming sword pops out into the air)
Whoa!
(stretches his hand towards the sword and it flies unto his palm)
Wow! What am I going to fight with this thing?
(suddenly, specks of crystals showers down from his wings and form a white horse)
Whoa! So the myth in the book seems real! An ancient warrior, huh? So, the book was right…

Suddenly, a glowing RED SERPENT appears behind Ighayo.

RED SERPENT
(having a female voice)
Hey!

IGHAYO
(turns his direction to where Red Serpent is. His horse disappears and reappears under him very fast and he sits on it)
You must be the red dragon but you look like a snake. A she-snake to be precise.
(nods)
Reptiles, huh?

RED SERPENT
What are you doing on earth, destroyer?

IGHAYO
That’s none of your business. The right question is, why don’t you leave humans alone? And, that’s for you to answer.

RED SERPENT
I will destroy you before you realize your gifts, fool.
(strikes a lightning bolt against Ighayo)

IGHAYO
(destroys the lightning bolt with the flaming sword in his hand)
Is that the best you’ve got?
(rides his horse towards Red Serpent)

Red Serpent orders asteroids towards Ighayo.

Lightning bolt shoots out of Ighayo’s wings and destroys the asteroids at one shot; paving way for Ighayo and his horse.

IGHAYO
(approaches Red Serpent and flies off his horse towards the serpent to cut it. The Red Serpent disappears and reappears in a distance. His horse disappears and reappears beneath him and he sits on it)
Stupid snake! Stay! Don’t run!

RED SERPENT
(shoots out fireballs against Ighayo)
Prepare for your doom!
