“Nay but, O man, who art thou that repliest against God,? Shall the thing formed say to him that formed it, why hast thou made me thus’? Rom.9:20.
There can be no more important or fundamental question than that of our right attitude before God. If we are in right relations to God we are in the way to be in right relations to all men and all things.
God is infinite, we are finite. Isa.40:15, 17. This sense of our comparative nothingness should have three phases.
a. We should bear in mind God’s infinite majesty and our utter insignificance.
b. We should bear in mind the infinite wisdom of God and our utter ignorance.
c. We should be in mind the infinite holiness of God and our utter vileness.
WE SHOULD TRUST GOD PERFECTLY
a. Blessed is the man that trusted in Him.
b. We should put our hope in Him.
c. He can do all things because He is Omnipotence.
BUT THERE SHOULD BE ONE MORE OF OUR ATTITUDE TOWARD GOD
Our boldness toward God. Heb.10:19. He is infinite in majesty, infinite in wisdom, infinite in holiness; but the atoning blood of Jesus has put away our sins and made us sons of God, having the spirit of adoption, and look right up, into the face of that infinite majesty, that infinite wisdom, that infinite holiness and call Him father. Rom.8:15.
Conclusion: Let us exalt Him and His majesty so he might draw all men unto himself.
