The Responsibilities of a Witness Member

I have agreed to become a full member in the witness movement because I have agreed to obey and abide by the following advice:

1. Obedient to the Doctrine of the Church:
I will obey the doctrine and activities of the church as taught in the word of God (Acts 2:42)

2. Obedient to Office Holders:
I will respect the office holders in the church and obey them as well as the witness leaders. I will also respect my Elders. (Heb. 13:17, James 4:10, 1st Peter 3:3-4)

3. The Life of God First:
I will live in accordance with the inscription on my Witness Badge, that is, to allow God to be the first in all my activities. (Matt. 6:33)

4. Self Sanctification and the Witness Uniform:
I will keep myself and the Uniform Holy, and I will appear in my witness uniform worthily, poverty will never be an hindrance to me. (Num. 8:21-22, Exo. 19:10, 1st Cor. 6:19-20) (Not that these portions are concerned with self sanctification)

5. Punctuality at Meetings:
I will be punctual at every witness meeting (Gen. 22:3, Song of Solomon 7:12, Psalm 133:1)

6. Living A Holy Life and using the Bible as the Main Reading Book:
I have to be holy so that I can be a good example to others. I will use the Bible as my main reading book, and read other books on scripture only. (Heb. 10:19-22, John 5:39, Acts 17:11)

7. Choice of Partner and Friends:
I will be cautious of choosing friends, for two cannot walk together except they agree, that is, I will choose my partner in the church so that our fellowship and manner can agree. (2nd Cor. 6:14-16, Amos 3:3)

8. The Penalty for the Defaulter:
I am prepared to surrender my badge to the Witness Leader or Pastor, and bear the penalty that may follow at anytime that my life falls short from what are being written in this Teachings. (1st Peter 2:13, Rom. 13:4).
